In a world of LinkedIn, Twitter, online job applications, and web portfolios, what has happened to the traditional resume? Far from becoming passé, today’s resume is a vibrant and meaningful document that can help your clients stand out against ever-increasing competition in a fast-paced hiring environment.
If your resume writing knowledge and advice are based on strategies and practices from ten, five, or even two years ago, it’s time to update your expertise and learn what works today.
At this seminar, participants will:
- Learn best practices for writing compelling resumes in the 21st century
- Discover the 3 critical concepts that are the foundation for writing effective resumes
- Understand the different parts of a resume and what to include or exclude for maximum advantage to clients
- Practice interpreting client data and formulating resume writing and career marketing strategies
- Capture new ideas for gathering critical information from clients
- Learn strategies for writing tight, high-impact copy
Using ideas and content from her groundbreaking resume training academy, Louise will provide the most critical and up-to-date information to help counselors write better resumes and/or guide their clients in resume development.
