Trainer: One of the leading resume writers and trainers in the United States, Louise Kursmark (www.yourbestimpression.com) has been helping job seekers and career professionals create compelling and meaningful career marketing documents for more than 20 years. In her private practice, Best Impression Career Services, she works exclusively with senior executives in career transition. She is also director of Resume Writing Academy, the world’s first comprehensive resume training program, and author of more than 20 books on resume writing and career management. Her most recent titles include 30-Minute Resume Makeover and Sales and Marketing Resumes for $100,000+ Careers (3rd edition).
Louise is a highly regarded speaker at professional careers conferences and to recruiters and HR professionals as well as to audiences of job seekers. In addition to sharing her expertise on career documents and marketing strategies, she is passionate about guiding and encouraging entrepreneurs in the careers field and offers training through the emerging Entrepreneurial Academy arm of the Resume Writing Academy. Most recently she has been a founding member of the Career Thought Leaders Consortium, launched to identify and disseminate best practices and trends in the careers industry.
The first person worldwide to earn the Master Resume Writer credential, Louise is also a Certified Professional Resume Writer, Certified Employment Interview Professional, Certified Job and Career Transition Coach, and Credentialed Career Master. She was a founding board member of the Career Management Alliance and served in that capacity for 10 years. Louise has been a member and volunteer with Career Directors International, National Resume Writers Association, and Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches. She studied English at Northeastern University and earned a business degree from Bay Path College. An avid traveler and die-hard Red Sox fan, she resides in Reading, Massachusetts.
