Description

For career or workforce development professionals working with clients to avoid having them be screened out, get to people with the power to hire, and land faster.

Job seekers who want to get hired now need to quit lining up at the front door. Employers designed the rules of job search not to let them shine, but as crowd control to keep at bay the multitude of applicants with whom they do not want to interact, while they find the few that interest them. Job seekers who follow the rules put themselves at the beginning of the screen-out process, with the slimmest chance to get noticed, even if they are talented and well-qualified.

This interactive workshop will provide new perspectives on the job search process, and offer strategies to help clients bend the rules in their search by capitalizing on what has always worked best - using ‘side doors’ to get directly to decision-makers and prove their value.

Facilitator: Elisabeth Sanders-Park co-authored the ground-breaking L.A.
