“Keep my words positive. Words become my behaviors. Behaviors become my habits. Habits become my values. Values become my destiny. There is no dress rehearsal. This is one day in our life.” -- Mahatma Gandhi
“I believe we are destined to meet the people who will support, guide and nurture us on our life’s journey each of them appearing at the appropriate time accompanying us at least part of the way. I think specific human beings, sometimes only in spirit, will present themselves in such a way that their presence will shape and reshape our hearts until we are more fully who we are. This particular magic or synchronicity is activated by something both simple and profound: we must adhere to our own peculiar way, that is the only chance we have to meet those spirits who wander along our road; we must persist in being true to our most individual soul.” -- Alice Walker
“To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion sacrifice, courage, kindness. What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places – and there are so many – where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction. And if we do act, in however small a way, we don’t have to wait for some utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.” -- Howard Zinn

Testimonial from Anna Shenk Scholarship Fund recipient...
"Career Counselors' Consortium provides a great network of support for my growing career as a Workforce Development Consultant. Meeting with members who have various degrees of experience has made each gathering fresh, invigorating and profound.
The Career Counselors' Consortium workshops are as comprehensive as they are eye opening. The workshops challenge you to think outside of your own experiences and ideas as to how you assist your clients.
The opportunities to develop my abilities as a Workforce Development Consultant are invaluable. I cannot thank Career Counselors' Consortium enough and I highly encourage other workforce professionals to join."
