CCC Professional Development Seminar:
"Design Thinking : Effective Strategies for Helping Clients to Create a Fulfilling Life and Career"

Date: Friday, November 9, 2018

Location: Curry Student Center - Room 440
NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY | BOSTON, MA

Time: 9:00am - 12:30pm

Why is it so hard for students, clients - and even ourselves - figure out what to do next in a career? If only 32% of employees are engaged at work (according to a 2015 Gallup survey) then it is clear that many people are not doing a great job at designing a career path.

In this workshop you will learn a new way, based on design thinking, to work with students and clients in their career and job searches which will help to get them moving in the right direction. You will be introduced to tools and exercises that will help students/clients:

  • Identify dysfunctional beliefs and learn how to reframe them
  • Increase confidence and raise excitement about next career steps.
  • Learn to explore different work options and ultimately find clarity in their career path and plan
  • Build their personal brand so they can stand out in the job market
  • Cultivate a supportive network that will fast track their job search
