We are excited to announce a local professional enhancement opportunity for career education providers.
Jim Peacock from Peak Careers (https://peak-careers.com/about/about-jim-peacock/) will be offering the "Facilitating Career Development" class in Beverly, MA starting this fall. Jim is an award-winning career development specialist and owner of Peak-Careers. He has more than 25 years of experience giving career advisors and counselors the tools they need to help their clients. He is on the National Career Development Association (NCDA) registry as a Facilitating Career Development (FCD) Instructor, and is a dynamic trainer, consultant and speaker. The FCD course has not been offered in a live format in the greater Boston area for quite some time, and we are very pleased that Jim will be offering a discount to CCC members! The FCD training program is a competency-based certification program for individuals who work in career development. The FCD training was developed to provide standards, training specifications, and credentialing to those working in the field that are not licensed professional counselors. After completing FCD training, individuals may apply for the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) or Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) credentials. These credentials are designed for providers offering career services in an array of settings such as private coaches, university staff, workforce development professionals, human resources staff, etc.
The 120-hour class meets for a little over 5 months to advance your skills in the field of career development. This course combines face-to-face training with e-learning to give you the skills you need to work in any type of career development setting.
You’ll spend five (5) days interacting with your instructor and peers in a live classroom setting. The remainder of the class is a combination of engaging online learning, discussions, and fieldwork.
An early bird course registration discount is being offered for registrations received by August 19th, and an additional discount is being offered to CCC members. Please register soon as there are limited slots available.
