Or you can register at the sign in desk on the day of the meeting.
Members - please RSVP online and let us know you'll be attending a meeting. By registering online, you'll reduce time spent at the registration desk the morning of the meeting and have more time to network and socialize with your colleagues! Forgot to register or RSVP beforehand? Don’t worry, you can still sign up at the registration desk the morning of the meeting, as well as purchase or renew your membership and sign up for any of our Professional Development Seminars.
Did you know that attending a CCC General Meeting can be applied towards continuing education credits? The Career Counselors’ Consortium is an approved provider of continuing education units by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Just let us know at the registration desk that you are interested and we will provide you with the appropriate documentation.
The CCC offers a "Lunch & Learn" informal one-hour discussion after each General Meeting. Anyone interested in staying for lunch to network with colleagues is welcome to bring their own lunch (or pick it up at the centrally located Northeastern University Food Court) and join us in a reserved room on the Northeastern University campus. Theme based Lunch & Learns will include noted speakers and special topics of interest to our members. Details of each Lunch & Learn can be found on the General Meeting event details page.
Professional Development Seminars Information The Professional Development Seminars have been an integral offering sponsored by the Career Counselors' Consortium since 1999. The Seminars provide intensive training to career development professionals. Seminars are offered on a regular basis throughout the year on relevant topics in the career development field. Local, regional and national experts are invited to facilitate seminars and share their knowledge with this engaging group of professionals. The CCC is pleased to offer this unique training opportunity for career professionals in New England.
CCC Members receive a special rate of just $155 per seminar. For non-members, the seminars are priced at $185 per seminar. NOTE: There may be times when a seminar is specially priced. CCC Special Events Information Throughout the year, the CCC may join other organizations to bring valuable resources, educational seminars and networking opportunities to our members and guests. Please check our Special Events List periodically to see what we may have scheduled.
Career Practioner's Group Entering it's seventh year, the Career Counselors' Consortium offers a Monthly Career Practioner's Group to fellow career development professionals committed to an ongoing understanding of the deeper counseling issues involved in career counseling. The monthly Group meets in Newton, MA on Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Each meeting consists of brief social time/resource sharing, and then moves on to case presentations and discussions, and (time permitting) a discussion of a career development related topic that has been determined ahead of time and that is of interest to the group. Readings will be assigned as appropriate. Periodically we will devote meetings to special topics as the group prefers.
The fee for each meeting is $20.00.
If you are interested in joining, please contact Amy Mazur.
Some feedback from current Career Practioner's Group members: "With Amy's recommendations and guidance, our group chooses readings about theory and practice. We discuss the readings and how they apply to our work. We also talk about cases and conferences. Because we set our agenda together, we can cover many areas of interest. It is especially valuable to have a small, friendly forum to talk through tough issues in depth, and to share perspectives with other professionals." "The mentoring group is one of the very few things I never want to miss. I always walk away feeling that I gained insights of real depth. Being in this group, you get to explore the craft of career counseling. You learn how to powerfully support growth when clients are stalled. And often, you find yourself growing too, as you reflect on how we, as human beings, develop and how we become stronger agents in our own career progression, moving toward truly resonant work roles.” |
