Welcome to the Career Counselors’ Consortium of New England. With over 20 years’ experience serving the Career Counselors of our region, the CCC is the oldest, most established group of its kind in the Northeast.

Top Eleven Reasons to be a CCC Member:

  1. CEU’s. The CCC is an approved provider of Continuing Education Units by the National Board for Certified Counselors! NBCC (http://www.nbcc.org) examinations are used by more than 40 states nationwide to credential counselors.
  2. CCC Member Directory. Access to a password protected online directory containing the names and contact information of all current CCC members. This directory gives you the opportunity to network with the entire CCC membership.
  3. Counselor Search Directory. Available to the general public, this database is designed to be a resource for potential clients seeking a qualified counselor. Only CCC members can be listed if they so choose.
  4. CCC Speaker’s Bureau. We also make available to the general public a list of CCC members who offer fee-based presentations, workshops and training programs on a wide range of topics.
  5. Special Interest Groups. The CCC sponsors several groups such as a Presenter’s Group for members seeking to practice presentation skills, an Employer Relations Group to share resources, ideas and best practices with this rapidly evolving specialty, and a Mentoring Program linking senior and less experienced Counselors in a mutually beneficial learning situation that fosters professional growth.
  6. Professional Development Seminars. Exclusive to the Career Counselors’ Consortium of New England, our PDS’ have been an integral part of our programs since 1999. These seminars provide high-value intensive training to career development professionals throughout the region at the most reasonable prices. They are offered at intervals throughout the year on relevant topics in the career development field, and are facilitated by local, regional and national experts.

  7. Access to On-Line Assessment Instruments. Through special arrangement with CPP, Inc., the Career Counselors’ Consortium offers on-line assessment instruments such as the Strong Interest Inventory and MBTI to its members.

    In addition to ease of administration, membership access to on-line assessments offers:
    • Flexibility: Your clients can take the assessments any time, from any location with Internet access.
    • Automatic Tracking: Receive timely email notification when your clients complete assessments.
    • Security: Clients use a secure user name and password to enter CPP through the CCC web page.
    CPP is a leading provider of innovative assessments and training tools administered by professionals to meet individual and organizational development needs. Its hundreds of offerings have been used by millions worldwide for 48 years in such applications as leadership development, coaching, team building, retention and career management.
  8. Special Announcements. CCC members receive regular email announcements of upcoming events, job postings, and special promotions. CCC members can also submit their announcements for emailing to the entire membership. Beginning in 2005, upcoming events will also be posted to our new on-line Calendar for reference any time throughout the year.
  9. Networking Opportunities. In addition to our on-line Membership Directory, every meeting you attend provides you with numerous formal and informal opportunities to network with colleagues.
  10. Member Discounts. Members earn free admission to all four general membership meetings and 15% off the Non-Member Price of each of our Professional Development Seminars.
  11. Future Member Discounts. College students are welcome to attend any General CCC Membership meeting for only $5 with a valid college or university ID. Current CCC members who invite non-members to join the CCC are eligible for $25 off the price of any single PDS they choose for each non-member they convert.
