Event Description

Four accomplished career center directors join us for a discussion covering some of the most pressing topics faced by their offices. Representing a wide breadth of views including business, liberal arts, undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, state, and private institutions, this panel will address current challenges and approaches that influence the work we do.

More About the Career Center Leadership Speakers 

Jessica Chance, Director, Graduate Center for Career Development, Babson College

Jessica Chance is the Director of the Graduate Center for Career Development at the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College. With a background in psychology, the arts and career development, she leads the career team in supporting the diverse goals of Babson’s graduate students. Her work in career education spans over 20 years and incudes being an advocate for access to career education in higher ed. Her work has involved community building, and empowering life-long learners and creators. 


Todd BartlettSenior Director of Career and Professional Development, Clark University


Todd Bartlett is an career and talent development professional with deep expertise in coaching, training, employer engagement, and experiential learning. His work spans higher education and industry partnerships, with a strong track record of helping students develop the skills, confidence, and clarity needed to navigate their career paths. At Clark University, he serves as the Sr. Director of Career and Professional Development for the Career Connections Center where he and his team serve Clark undergraduates, masters, and Ph.D. students. 

Before joining Clark, Todd spent nearly eight years at Boston University, where he built a reputation for student support and collaborative program development. He brings an integrated, student‑centered approach to his work, and he is passionate about building bridges between institutions, employers, and learners to improve career readiness and workforce outcomes.

Meredith ArmstrongDirector of the Center for Career and Experiential Learning, The University of Rhode Island

Meredith Armstrong, MSW, LICSW, is a clinical social worker and higher education leader with extensive experience supporting student success, wellness, and professional development. She currently serves as Director of the Center for Career and Experiential Education at the University of Rhode Island, where she oversees career advising, employer engagement, pre‑health initiatives, experiential education, and the university’s career outcomes data strategy.  Meredith has spent more than two decades advancing student-centered practices across K–12, higher education, and community agencies.  

  A dedicated educator, she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in clinical practice, school social work, and interdisciplinary approaches to early childhood and education. Her experience includes clinical work, crisis intervention, and leading workshops on mental health, trauma‑sensitive practices, and academic support strategies.  Known for her collaborative leadership and commitment to equity, Meredith builds strong partnerships across institutions to expand opportunities for students and strengthen community impact.  

Greg Denon, Associate Dean, Career Development, University of Massachusetts, Lowell

Greg began working at UMass Lowell in 2014 after working for nearly 20 years at Wentworth Institute of Technology and Emerson College, where he managed a co-op program, supported career advising services, and fostered a robust employer relations program. Today, as associate dean for career development, Greg manages the university's Career & Co-op Center and has a leadership role in integrating the Chancellor's vision for career connected experiences across the university.
